Sharon Chan is the associate opinions editor/digital for The Seattle Times. She manages The Seattle Times' guest columns with an emphasis on diversifying topics, authors and readers. Her column and Opinion Northwest blog posts provide an independent take on issues important to millennials, women and the digital generation. She previously was senior digital producer for The Seattle Times, leading the home page team and working with a team to develop the paper’s first HTML5 smartphone and tablet apps, and served as a reporter for 12 years.
