Sachi Cunningham is an Assistant Professor of Journalism at San Francisco State University. She was previously a staff video journalist at the Los Angeles Times, where she covered national and international stories. Prior to the Times, Sachi worked for PBS news documentary series FRONTLINE and FRONTLINE/World, where she covered stories around the world. A graduate of UC Berkeley's School of Journalism and Brown University, Sachi's stories focus on the ocean environment. She has taken her camera in the water to shoot subjects ranging from 350-pound blue fin tuna to Michael Phelps. Her work has been honored by The Emmys, Webbys and Pictures of the Year International, among others.
