Chris Worthington, Managing Director, Regional News of Minnesota Public Radio, oversees all news gathering and programming at MPR News. He joined MPR News in July 2006 after 10 years at the St. Paul Pioneer Press, where he served as the managing editor and before that as a senior editor directing business and technology coverage. He has more than 30 years of news experience. From 1983 to 1996, he worked for the Dallas Morning News as a business editor, regional editor and sports editor. He held other newspaper positions with Newsday, the Fort Lauderdale News and the Fort Myers News-Press. He holds a B.A. in journalism from the University of Southern California and an MBA from the University of Dallas.
